A few new faces
I wanted to first congratulate Justin, Damelon and Filip on taking the leap and leaving their day jobs for full-time TextDrive fun.
And to also welcome a few new people to the TextDrive staff:
Christopher Horrell is coming to manage our external and internal documentation. He first got onto the web around 1996 and he’s been hooked ever since. He has an English and Psychology degree from the University of Toronto and a Technical Writing post-diploma certificate from Seneca College. For the last four years he’s worked as a technical writer in the IT department of a major Canadian retailer where he also dabbles in web design, but not as much as he’d like.
Terrell Russell is a PhD student in Information Science at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) and will be our resident scholar and community advocate. He has an MS in Computer Networking, a BS in Computer Engineering and a BS in Information Technology and Service Organizations from North Carolina State University (NCSU). He is very interested in the tools that communities use and develop to share information amongst themselves. Other research interests include Open Source, trust, reputation, and emergent systems.
And two additions to our developers:
Alex King is one of the guys behind Wordpress, the Wordpress Themes Competition and is the developer of Tasks . Tasks is coming on as a software option for people to support.
B.S. Ag marks our (embarrassingly) first female addition to TextDrive proper and she is a biologist, an Apple/Unix geek, an audiophile, an avid reader and film buff, and an amateur (in both the inept and unpaid senses) photographer. and the developer behind Tracks, a web application that is specifically designed to implement the Getting Things Done (GTD) methods.
Welcome, welcome.
